Our Nanny Vetting Policy
First Class Nannies and Helpers firmly believe that the safety of your child/ren is paramount and should never be compromised. Our nanny vetting policy ensures you are getting a qualified childcare provider.
All of the child care practitioners on our books must have a minimum of two years full time childcare experience, this can be in the form of a two year childcare qualification, two years hands on experience or a combination of the two i.e a one year qualification and one year working in the childcare industry. They must also be able to provide a minimum of two childcare related referees.
We insist that all child care practitioners on our books must hold a DBS Enhanced Disclosure (please see Police checks if you require more in-depth information on this topic). If they do not already have a DBS check in place, we have a service in place which enables us to process an application for a new DBS.
We personally interview all the candidates on our books. We never hold Skype or telephone interviews as we believe it is of great importance to know all of the candidates on our books in order to accurately represent them.
Upon meeting the candidates who register with us we check their I.D. and carry out very thorough reference checks. The industry standard for nanny agencies is to check and verify two references, our company policy is to endeavour to contact all of the candidates previous childcare employers where possible.
